Cowgirl Kate!

Gwen dressed up as Cowgirl Kate this year for Halloween. Cowgirl Kate is a character in one of her favorite book series (Cowgirl Kate and Cocoa.) Gwen absolutely loved trick-or-treating this year. The first thing she said when she woke up on Nov 1st was, "Um, may I please go trick-or-treating?...right now?"

Mexico!

We had a wonderful time in Puerto Morelos, Mexico, just south of Cancun. We were there to attend the wedding of Megan's sister, Allie. I plucked a few strings during the ceremony, but the real entertainment was provided by Gwen and her cousins, Evie and Josie. The three flower girls looked beautiful in their matching dresses and they performed their duties with grace and style. Enjoy the photographs from the trip!

Getting all three girls to look at the camera at the same time was just about impossible, but there are bound to be some great shots of them with all the cameras that were there.

So, it hasn't been Gwen's year this year. But she still has a decent chance of a respectable finish if West Virginia wins it all. This video is also evidence of how Megan sabotaged Gwen's bracket by swaying her to pick UTEP when Gwen's first instinct was clearly for Butler (now in the final four.)

Snow!

Gwen loves to play in the snow, and we had a lot of fun making "Krosty the Snowman" yesterday. This was the most snow Austin has seen in 6 years. We got about 1". But most of that fell in about 20 minutes with some of the largest snowflakes I've ever seen. It was the type of snow where the flakes would make an audible "boom" each time they hit your jacket. The wet snow made snowman building a breeze. It rolled up like a carpet.
