music video

I accidentally filmed this holding my camera vertically. I loaded the footage into iMovie to see if I could rotate the movie so that you didn't have to watch it while holding your head sideways. Turns out you can do that with iMovie... and a whole lot more. I got a little carried away.

Don't worry, we are playing Gwen lots of good music, too. She makes the most of these bad song samples, though, with her flair for improvisation.

First time in the stroller

Gwen is still too small to jog with her in the stroller, but Megan took her for a short walk. You can also see our new front porch posts/paint that we did in this summer. (We still plan to get a new mailbox, new door, and cover the concrete porch in slate.)

growing up

There is not too much new to report as far as milestones go. Gwen has not miraculously started walking or talking, but she does seem to have grown up a lot. Megan and I both noticed last week that Gwen was suddenly heavier, taller, more aware, developing increased dexterity and just generally looking older in her facial features. We've had to start packing away a lot of her 0-3 month clothes, and she's mostly wearing the next size up now. A special thanks to Chris, Nancy, Evie, and Josie for the endless supply of cute baby clothes.
In other news, Megan's maternity leave ended last Wednesday, but she was able to work half days for her first 4 days back at work. Yesterday was her first full day, and Gwen and I have already made it a habit to visit her at work during lunch.
These are pictures of Gwen from two days ago.

Ha Ha Ha!

Gwen started smiling around her 3rd or 4th week.  We thought surely laughing wouldn't be far behind.  We've tried everything to get her to laugh, but no luck.  Until, finally, last night she laughed for the first time.  Megan ran to grab the camera, and Gwen laughed again.  She hasn't laughed since, so we were pretty lucky to capture it.

Music time

She talks!

Well, not really.  But Gwen has become very vocal this week.  Here's a video.
